As the years go by I have had many thoughts that I believed would be beneficial to others and so they are being offered on this page. I confess that my thoughts have been formed through many years of reading, studying, viewing videos, listening to audios and surfing online. Therefore the gathering of ideas has been essential and important to my personal development. Because of this my thoughts can be attributed to many people 

in many venues over many years. It is my prayer that everyone who reads the thoughts presented here benefits from them as I have from the thoughts of others. I earnestly hope that they will be a positive influence in developing character that is godly and respectable and loving toward others we encounter on life's path. I desire above all that God will receive glory and honor and praise for he alone is the source of all wisdom.

MY TRUTH AND YOUR TRUTH AND FREEDOM TO BELIEVE

"If my truth and your truth don't match up does that make me your enemy?  What if I deny something you have held dear for decades and believe to be irrefutable truth?  I believe we can be in disagreement without being disagreeable.

There are certain incontrovertible doctrines in the Bible that should be defended when someone seeks to go against them for any reason such as the efficacious blood of Christ as full payment for our sin and assurance of our salvation. 

Most of what we love to debate about should fall under the freedom to believe I am right until someone proves me to be wrong.  That can be done without thinking we are required to dissociate from one another.

By the way, I used the big words to see if anyone complained about me using words that some might not understand.  That might get me in hot water with some, but a good dictionary would help and challenge people to use that old dead habit called studying.  I think it serves a good purpose to force people to stretch their understanding.  You are free to disagree." -- C R Lord © 12/20/2018

Ideology and Philosophy

"Some people believe that philosophy will gradually bring us out of darkness or ignorance into the light of true knowledge. There are others who believe the same drivel about science.  Both sound good and believable.  I truly believe, however, that philosophy takes us out of one form of darkness and substitutes another in its place while offering a false light or at best a rather dim one.  

It is the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ that brings people out of darkness and sheds forth the truth that can deliver us from ignorance and misguided philosophy.  That is why

and its fall will be a blip on the radar of eternity.  Those who die advocating Socialism will suffer the wrath of a Holy God forever.  Christianity will stand forever and its adherents

JESUS CHRIST AS GOD IN A SINGLE VERSE OF SCRIPTURE

"Jesus as God incarnate (the hypostatic union or fusion of two natures, God and man or the God/man) needs no worldly titles for himself.  His true followers are Christians meaning followers of Christ.  They acknowledge his divinity like Thomas stating 'My Lord and my God' as he knelt in Christ's presence.

The reason there is no fear of God in the people worldwide is that there is no fear of God presented in most pulpits of this vile generation. As goes the family and the church so 

goes the world. The reality of the hatred of God for sin, the judgment on those who refuse to repent and the final end of the lost has been lost in the sickly sweet preaching and 

the prosperity gospel this generation has come to embrace as the gospel. It is time for the preaching of the word with authority and men who will preach the entire counsel of God without compromise and without favor to anyone. Apart from that it will be church as usual while the world rides a roller coaster to judgment, Hell and the lake of fire.

Jesus did not deny the charge of the Jews that he, being a man, makes himself to be God (John 10:30-33).  I am certain that he and the Jewish people present with him knew 

what they were talking about. 

True Christians of all ages acknowledge Christ as God come in human flesh.  Examine the teaching of Paul as written in 1 Corinthians 3:16 where Paul makes a startling 

statement about God that undeniably refers to Christ.

'And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness; GOD (theos in the Greek) was manifest in the flesh (Christ's incarnation) justified in the Spirit (proven by God's pronouncement THIS IS MY BELOVED SON IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED at his baptism in the Jordan by John the Baptist); seen of angels (as God and as man); preached unto the Gentiles (study the book of Acts and all the letters of Paul to prove this); believed on in the world (this has never stopped happening since Christ walked the earth); 

received up into glory (verified in Christ's ascension in Mark 16:19, Luke 24:51 and Acts 1:9-11.

There is no honest way to get around this verse of scripture.  No honest and objective scholar could ever prove that this verse beginning with "God was" can deny it speaks of Christ." -- C R Lord © 3/8/2018

PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS CRYING FOR PEACE WITHIN

"We do everything to find peace but the one thing necessary.  Isaiah 26:3 KJV - Thou wilt keep him in PERFECT PEACE whose mind is STAYED ON THEE because he trusteth 

in thee.  What is being said in this verse?  Is God a liar?  Does this verse need embellishment?  Is it so difficult to understand?

PERFECT PEACE IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF CONFLICT BUT THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN THE CONFLICT.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Remember Peter?  He was walking on the water by faith and would have gone to Jesus and walked back calmly to the boat in spite of the storm raging around him.  BUT - he took his eyes off the problem solver (Jesus) and focused on the problem (the storm).  Then he began to sink in despair and Jesus rebuked him saying; 'O' thou of little faith.'  If your storm is causing you to lose hope and you begin to despair - CHANGE YOUR FOCUS!" -- C R Lord © 12/6/2018

They are behind every evil work that ever was or will be. Men submit to Satan and his imps or to Christ and their lives are a reflection of the master they serve.
