A Brief Comparison Between
Christianity and Islam
Christianity
Christianity began in the Roman province of Judea
Christians worship in church,in homes, civilian chapels, military chapels in Bible studies and in the outdoors
in a variety of camps and etc.
Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God come in human flesh as prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 and fulfilled in Matthew 1:23.
Christians believe that Jesus is the third
person in the Godhead. He is the God/man or in theological terms the hypo-static union or the combination of divine and human natures in the single person of Jesus Christ. See Matthew 1:23 and compare it with Isaiah 7:14 - prophesied 760 BC
Salvation For the Christian begins with personal acknowledgment that they are a sinner, proceeds with humility and sorrow
and coming to God to seek forgiveness
for their sin and eternal life.
All true Christians understand that they are not worthy to receive the forgiveness God offers but they accept it by faith. They place their faith in the fact that Jesus Christ's blood shed on the cross of Calvary was sufficient payment for their sin debt.
God confirms by the Holy Spirit that he has heard and answered their plea and he gives them an inner witness to that fulfilling the scripture that His spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are his children.
Christians believe their lineage extends from the time of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In Matthew 1:1-17 the lineage from Abraham to the carrying away into Babylon
is given broken down in generations of 14.
Christians believe the Bible is the Word of God. They believe that
holy men of God wrote as the Spirit of God directed them
using their natural form of writing and their personalities and their character as well to say what God wanted said to mankind.
2 Timothy 3:16 and 17 verifies this.
Perhaps the strongest proof of the Bible
being God's word is that when Christians
pray to God based on the promises of scripture he answers them
and in very specific ways that are undeniable.
Christians also know the author
personally when they are redeemed.
Islam
Islam began in the Arabian Peninsula.
Muslims worship in Mosque/masjid, or
any place which is considered
clean by Islamic standards.
Muslims believe that Jesus Christ is a prophet but a lesser prophet than Muhammad. Islam believes in one God & rejects Christ as God.
Islam believes the Catholic and Christian are one and the same, as do many in secular circles. This has led to much erroneous teaching concerning religion and in the view of secularism worldwide. There are vast differences between the two which will be covered on another page of the site.
Salvation in Islam is attained by belief in one God, remembrance of God, repentance, fear of God and hope in God's mercy. However there is not a guaranteed hope of salvation and the resurrection to eternal life as there is in the Christian Bible outside Jihad.
Like all other religions in the world, salvation is dependent on being good enough or depending on good works. The problem with this theory is that nobody can be sure their good outweighs the bad they had done; leaving them in doubt.
If my sources are correct some Muslims believe that dying in Jihad gives them assurance of life and favor with Allah after physical death.
Muslims believe that the ancestor of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is Abraham (Ibrahim) through his son Ismael.
Muslims believe that God (Allah) gave Muhammad the Qur'an and it is a sacred text of Islam.
While the Qur'an is the only sacred text of Islam, the Hadith, which is the sayings of Muhammad, is also highly revered. To insult the Qur'an or Muhammad is strongly forbidden and results in punishment
and even death for some including what Muslims believe are infidels (unbelievers).
Muslims call Christians and Jews people of the book; referring to the Torah and Bible.
THE IMPOSSIBLE COMMAND FOR MUSLIMS
It is difficult for some Christians too. They either obey him or choose to rebel.
Jesus said; "If you love me keep my commandments." Do you keep his commandments? If you don't you don't love him no matter what you think or say. Are you even familiar with any of his commandments? Here's one that you can't obey and still obey what is written in the Koran.
"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you." -- Matthew 5:44 --
The Koran demands death to your enemies. Here is one verse of many in the Qur'an like it:
Sura 9:5 - 'The Holy Qur'an says: "But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them, and seize them beleager them and lie in wait for them in every strategm of war."
If you obey Jesus you have to violate the Koran. If you obey the Koran you will have to disobey the command of Jesus to love you enemies.
Further, if you are commanded by Jesus to love your enemies then it stands to reason that you are to love all people on earth because loving an enemy is higher than loving anyone else. Wouldn't you agree. So don't fool yourself or lie to yourself and others. Either obey Jesus and love all mankind, including your enemies, or be honest and say you really don't love Jesus at all. Which will you obey? The Qur'an telling you to kill your enemies or Jesus telling you to love them. The proof lies in your own thoughts revealing your heart.
Sura 24:2 - The Holy Qur'an says: "The woman or man guilty of adultery or
John 8:3-11 - The Holy Bible says: "When Jesus had lifted up
Sura 4:88-89 - The Holy Qur'an says: "Why should ye be divided
Galatians 6:1 - The Holy Bible says: "Brethren, if a man be
Sura 5:41 - The Holy Qur'an says: "As to the thief, male or female,
1 John 1:9 - The Holy Bible says: "If we confess our sins He (God)
Sura 5:36 - The Holy Qur'an says: "The punishment of those who
Romans 12:19 - The Holy Bible says - "Dearly beloved, avenge
Sura 9:5 - The Holy Qur'an says: "But when the forbidden months
is oft-forgiving, most merciful."
Matthew 5:44 - The Holy Bible says: "But I say unto you, love your

A Small Oblation
I do not minister for money,
But somehow it seems
kind of funny,
That those who let

Somehow feel that it's alright,
For me to pay a monthly fee,
To offer all this stuff to thee,

Kindly leave a small oblation.
