Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him because He not only broke the Sabbath but also said that God was His Father making Himself equal with God. John 5:18

‘And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness... Genesis 1:26 The word for God here is Elohim and implies more than one person in the Godhead. Christian teaching accepts that Jesus Christ was one of those persons.
“For in Him [Jesus] dwelleth All the Fullness of the Godhead Bodily. Colossian 2:9
‘For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. I John 5:7' Jesus is considered the living Word (see John 1:1 coupled with John 1:14).
The same was in the Beginning with God. John 1:2 This is a continuation of John 1:1 speaking of the Word (Jesus).
‘and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth. John 1:14 (see John 3:16)

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulders. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 Prophesy of the coming of Christ by Isaiah.
But thou, Bethlehem, Ephrathah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be the ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah5:2 The prophesy of the birth of Christ showing his preexistence before he came to earth to live among men.
Behold,He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so. Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord. "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:7 and 8 Jesus speaking to John on Patmos - the terms Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End and the Almighty are used exclusively of God in the Old Testament yet Jesus is speaking about himself here.
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad. Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham? Jesus said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am. John 8:56-58
