Before I say anything else dealing with evolution, I want to assure all who read this page that I have done plenty of research, and I have been in plenty of discussions pro and con
to my own beliefs on this subject, and I have no more intentions of arguing on this subject with any person on either side of the issue. I am merely presenting my views derived from personal study, videos, articles, debates and individual or group discussions over a period of many years. All those who read what I am presenting on this page are perfectly free to accept my ideas or reject them. Your position won't make you my enemy, and I hope those who disagree with me are mature enough to allow me to believe what I wish without feeling the need to engage me in some dialogue concerning this issue. I will be posting banners or text links or videos that support my view. Feel free to examine all them if you wish or ignore them as you please. My views will be simple, and those who desire to examine them from more sophisticated and knowledgeable persons are strongly encouraged to visit the various links that I will place on this page. I am sure that some of them are open to dialogue and even debate if that is what you might be pursuing.
One note before I continue. From the crown prince of evolution comes this confession:
"It is as though they [fossils] were just planted there, without any evolutionary history. Needless to say this appearance of sudden planting has delighted creationists. ...Both schools of thought (Punctuationists and Gradualists) despise so-called scientific creationists equally, and both agree that the major gaps are real, that they are true imperfections in the fossil record. The only alternative explanation of the sudden appearance of so many complex animal types in the Cambrian era is divine creation and (we) both reject this alternative." (Dawkins, Richard, The Blind Watchmaker, W.W. Norton & Company, New York, 1996, p. 229-230)
Makes me wonder why so many people follow this unstable man who refutes his own stance as quoted, and yet refuses to believe in the God who created him.
This is a prime example of what I have been saying for years. The mantra of science used to be "Follow the evidence to where it leads." Now, some of those who call themselves scientists, have adopted a new mantra: "Follow the evidence to where
it leads as long as it doesn't lead to God.
What I Believe About Evolution and Christianity
1. I believe in the creation story in Genesis chapters 1 and 2.
2. I am certain the Hebrew word "yom" (day) when connected with a number
(ie; first day) means a literal 24 hour day. Because of this I full reject all the
"Christian evolution concepts" or theistic evolution. Obviously there is no
way I can accept the fabricated stories of millions or billions of years that
it took for everything to evolve according to evolutionary hypothesis. They are
fully in conflict with the Genesis account in my "personal studied observation."
3. For those who say I can't prove God exists or created anything I must say that
from a scientific position I cannot. What the proponents of evolution, for the most
part, refuse to hear from me is that I have supernatural proof in my own life that
God not only exists, but he answers prayer in Jesus' name and does miracles.
I have seen and experienced the presence of God and/or his power through a
variety of supernatural experiences beginning with my own salvation experience
where God revealed himself to me in such a powerful way that it overwhelmed my
unbelief and skepticism and removed all doubt as to his existence and his power.
I have seen many people immediately healed, have seen my son immediately
healed in our home in answer to the prayer of my wife and I and I have personally
been instantly healed in answer to prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
At various times in my life I have been involved individually or with others in
casting demons out of people and houses. The first encounter with demons
occurred at 518 Xanthus Street in Tulsa Oklahoma. It was at night as I was
preparing to go to sleep, and was the attack on my life. I was a Christian for a
very short time when it happened and am thankful that I was in a place where
people knew how to deal with demons. If God hadn't intervened I would have
died in that room. After my ordeal I returned to the room I was attacked in and
cast the demons out of the room in the name of Jesus Christ and it was over.
The second encounter was in Jacksonville, Florida during street evangelism.
The third occurrence was an evening chapel service on the campus of the Bible
college I attended and graduated from. A fourth happened when I was working
on the staff at Cincinnati Teen Challenge during a semester break from Bible
college. The demons in the young boy there spoke through him to the staff as
we were casting them out. It was a first time that I heard a demon speak and
I remember the chills running through my body at that time but I wasn't afraid.
I had one more encounter with a man at Fountain Square in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was possessed and kept cursing the Lord. I commanded him to leave the
square in the name of Jesus. At first he didn't but the second command in the
name of Jesus causes him to run off, and he never returned while I was there.
One thing that happened while I was with a traveling ministry for my first year
as a Christian was "seeing" food multiply in answer to the prayers of a young
girl who offered a simple prayer in Jesus' name. Of course, for unbelievers to
accept this would be ludicrous because there are many who call themselves
Christians who don't believe God does that kind of thing in this generation. It's
truly sad that unbelief of that kind exists in people who profess to believe that
God can transform a vile sinner into a lover of God but can't do simpler things.
Before anyone attacks me on this I want everyone to know that I have had
my own times of unbelief, and the cure I found is in getting closer to God. Once a person gets to know God intimately doubt becomes less of an occurrence.
There was one other incident that I want to share that I believe is a wonderful
show of God power and protection upon his people. We set up our ministry
tent in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with permission on a piece of ground inside
the city. For some reason that I don't remember the city cut off our access to
water hoping to drive us out. Not to be deterred, the brothers in the ministry
dug a well on the grounds and we drank the water from that well. Before long
the city health department came to inspect the well. About 250 people in the
ministry, including children, drank from that well. The health department then
reported that the water was polluted and that everyone in camp should be sick
and even possibly dead. Amazingly, not one person was sick and nobody died
as we saw God fulfill his word to protect his people. There is more that I have
seen and experienced that more than prove God's existence and care for us.
4. Finally, I have seen the greatest miracle of all time over and over numerous
times in my life as a Christian. I have seen people from all walks of life turn to
Jesus Christ and put their faith in him, and I have watched as transformation in
their lives takes place and continues to this day. I have seen all seven of my
own children, of their own volition, choose to repent of their sins and believe in
the atonement of the blood of Jesus Christ for their own lives. I personally was
a vulgar-mouthed, drug dealing hippie with no interest in God, living for the next
party, the next high or the next woman and with no thoughts of where I would go
after I died. I did what this generation is being increasingly taught to do; "Live
for the moment!" I cursed God every day all day long and thought nothing of it.
It took a trip to prison that gave me time to be free of drugs and alcohol long
enough to consider where my life was headed for the first time in many years.
I came to Christ needy and humbled by my own wickedness and he met me in
a tent in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 19, 1974 around ten at night
to cleanse me of my many sins against him and set me free to love him who had
died for me in spite of my evil heart and life.
If you read this far, then you obviously are a patient and considerate person.
I can promise you that if you go to God with your sins and tell him in your own
words you are sorry for them and need his forgiveness that he will grant your
request and you will never be the same again! For a more detailed look at my
story please examine the pages listed below about my own life. I pray that my
God will bring you into our family and you will live to love and serve him not in
this life only but throughout the vast ages of eternity. God bless you!
