Answering Unbelievers 2

This is a continuation of answers given to statements of those who claim to be skeptics, atheists and otherwise unbelievers concerning the comments they made. There is no intention to belittle or condemn anyone but to give answers based on my understanding of the scriptures in the Bible. Everyone is free to accept or reject what is here.

Elton John (Pianist, songwriter and homosexual) – From my point of view I would ban religion completely, even though there are some wonderful things about it. The reality is that organized religion doesn't seem to work.   It turns people into hateful lemmings and it is not

really compassionate.”

My response to Elton John - A world without religion would have no moral compass and would be a literal Hell on earth.   Banning religion would be foolish and create chaos on the earth as unbelievers of all stripes fight one another with no holds barred.

There is really nothing wonderful about religion because religion is man trying in his own self to be good enough to please God.  Christianity on the other hand is unworthy men bowing in humility before a holy God in repentance and receiving forgiveness they couldn't deserve because of the sacrifice of God's son on their behalf.   Religion and Christianity are as far apart as earth is from the farthest reaches of space.

Religion certainly can turn people into hateful lemmings as you say, but it does turn some men into reasonable people who really want to be godly but just don't know how.  These people live what the world would call good lives but in the end the motivation is selfish in many ways which you will have to discover for yourself.   Christianity, if it is lived out in a way that brings honor and glory to God, is a wonderful life of compassion as Jesus Christ has commanded his followers to even "love their enemies."

Stephen Hawking (theoretical physicist) - “Humanism rejects religion.  It attributes nothing to the so-called supernatural.   In this there is an awakened liberty that releases us from the shackles and servitude mentality of old superstitions so that we may realize our full potential.”

My response to Stephen Hawking   -   Humanism must reject religion because it is a "man centered ideology."   Because the true humanist rejects God it follows that they also reject the supernatural.  However, your flawed idea of awakened liberty is only a snare of the devil who

holds you captive until you repent of your sins against a holy God and are set free.   The God of Christianity is not one of the "old superstitions"

you refer to.  He is very real and very much alive and involved in the lives of mankind sustaining even those who reject him.  The Bible says, He makes his rain to fall on the just and the unjust and his sun to shine on the evil and the good.  You will never realize your full potential outside of Jesus Christ because you live only in the finite natural world and are clueless about the infinite possibilities available to you in the supernatural world.   In the end you will find the supernatural or spiritual world is the reality and the current world you cling to is temporary and hardly worth establishing your future on either now or through the vast ages of eternity.  The brazen humanist manifesto is a deception declaring that man is

the one in control of his own destiny, however one small virus or a stray bullet changes that very quickly into the fabrication it truly is.  Your infirmities are absolute proof that you have no control over your destiny.  You wouldn't be that way if you could control it.  There are many ways men die and none of them are under our control.   Hebrews 9:27  informs us that death is an appointment we all will keep

whether we want to or are prepared to or not.

NOTE:  Sadly Stephen Hawking died since this response was posted and, to my knowledge, there's never been anything published to prove he turned to the Lord before he died.  The Bible says that "God is angry with the wicked every day."  It also says, "God takes no pleasure in the

death of the wicked.  I believe dying without God's salvation  is the greatest tragedy of the ages..

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (German philosopher) - “There is not enough love and goodness in the world to permit giving any of it away to imaginary beings.”

My response to Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche  -  There is far more love in this world than you are aware of, and that love which is returned to a very real being known as God is the best and truest love in the universe.   The God who you despised gave commandment for all of  gave commandment for all of  gave commandment for all of  gave commandment for all of  gave commandment for all of us which reads; "Thou shalt love the Lord, your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength."  The second is "Thou shalt love your neighbor as yourself."  As you have learned to your horror, the God who loved you to the point of letting his son die in your place is also the judge of the universe who must punish sin.  I am certain that you would love to have one more chance to return his love, but you are in a position that is irreversible.  It is an unchangeable tragedy of the worst proportions!

Tim Minchin (Australian comedian, musician and director) - “Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.   Faith is the denial of observation so that belief can be preserved.”

My response to Tim Minchin - Science adjust its view on what is observed is a deceitful claim. Scientists in this generation have violated their own promise that they would follow the evidence where it leads. The new mantra of science in our generation is that they'll "follow the evidence

to where it leads as long as it doesn't lead to God."

While many scientists are turning to creation as the most viable possibility to explain where all things come from a group of stubborn and unteachable people  led by Richard Dawkins follow their militaristic atheism in spite of their open confession that what they have been learning is inadequate.   More and more people are understanding that evolution is not reliable anymore and it never has been.

You say that faith is the denial of observation.  From God's perspective you are right.   The Bible says "faith is the substance of things hoped

for and the evidence of things not seen."  That is why it is called faith.  BUT you ignore the results of genuine faith in Christians who have turned

to Christ for salvation.  Millions of lives have been changed for the good over the centuries, and you are blind to it.  Miracles still happen that can only be supernatural, and you are ignorant of them.  Even little children are able to understand what you and many like you cannot perceive because you think your intellect to be superior to those who practice faith in God.  God has a different viewpoint than yours.  He calls those who say "there is no God" fools!

God is in the present Tim and he is very interested in opening your eyes to the truth but he won't pry your eyes open.   You will have to exercise "faith" or you'll never get it.

Epicurus (ancient Greek philosopher) - “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?  Then he is not omnipotent.  Is he able, but not willing?  Then he is malevolent.  Is he both able and willing?  Then whence cometh evil.  Is he neither able nor willing?  Then why call him God?”

My response to Epicurus - Is God willing to prevent evil?  He does as long as it doesn't violate his established order of things.   For instance,

God gave men free will to serve Him or reject him; to obey him or disobey him.  He didn't want a bunch of mutants running all over the place like

robots but people who freely chose to love and serve him.  The evil you saw while you were alive was the direct result of sin that is transgression

of God's law.   When it came to violating the "free will " he gave as a sovereign act, he would not do so, and men were given the right to

refuse to obey him and commit atrocities.  So he is not only omnipotent but he's sovereign as well.

God has worked miracles to avert tragedy and even death but always in line with his laws and commandments.   Evil came into the world through the temptation and fall of Adam and Eve who also had free will.  God is not the author of sin and cannot be because he is perfect in all his ways and perfection cannot be altered.

Madalyn Murray O'Hair (founder - American Atheists)  -  “Religion has ever been anti-human, anti-woman, anti-life, anti-peace, anti-reason and anti-science. The god idea has been detrimental not only to human kind but to the earth.  It is time now for reason, education and science to take over.”

My response to Madalyn Murray O'Hair Your rant served no purpose except to expose your intolerance, and it is an outright detestable lie.  Christianity, which is a relationship with God and not a religion where men seek to be good enough to merit God's favor in themselves, is all for humanity, protects and brings respect to women and children, is obviously pro-life where life is what it is intended to be, is the harbinger of peace and God's mercy and always harmonizes with genuine science.

Godless living is what is detrimental to mankind and the planet we live on.   It was sin and rebellion in Eve's heart and then her husband's heart that led to the fall of mankind who all inherited their evil nature which in turn has been the catalyst for the destruction of a perfect world God created for mankind.   It is human reason and irrational thinking that has led men to rebel more and more against God and favor secular education that has deprived mankind of their right relationship with a holy and merciful God.   The science of this generation has deserted what was the original mantra of following the evidence to where it leads and has adopted in its place a the mantra;  "Follow the evidence to where it leads

as long as it doesn't lead to God."

Your whole argument fails in every point and now you are irreversibly in eternity and you know beyond all doubt that you should have left things alone rather than creating the mess you left behind in your insane desire to disprove God and trust in man.

The irony of it all is that your son who helped get prayer out of the public schools is a Christian fighting against all the lies and deceptions you perpetrated in your lifetime.   God always come out on the winning side.  It is a great tragedy that you chose to reject him!  I am sure you wish you could rewind your life but that can never happen.

Yasser Arafat (Palestinian leader - deceased) - “Having a war about religion is like having a fight over who's got the best imaginary friend.”

My response to Yasser Arafat - I know that you are now in a place where you are fully aware that God was not an imaginary friend.   It is tragic that you were so filled with yourself that you were blind to spiritual truth.

George Clooney (actor and activist) - “I don't believe in heaven and hell.   I don't know if I believe in God.   All I know is that as an individual, I won't allow this life – the only thing I know to exist – to be wasted.”

My response to George Clooney - You will believe in Heaven and Hell either here in this life because of God's mercy in opening your eyes to spiritual truth or one second after you die and move on into eternity.  I strongly suggest you get the question of whether you believe in God

or not settled this side of the grave.   There is no repentance for sin, forgiveness or salvation after you die.   If you insist on making this life the best you possibly can so it is not wasted then you must turn your life to Christ and live to love and serve him and your fellow man.   There is no higher calling anywhere in the universe.   If you excel at that your life will have been well invested and you will die at peace with God and man and rejoice forever!

________________________________________________________________________

Penn Jillette (libertarian) - “Love and respect all people. Hate and destroy all faith.”

My response to Penn Jillette - Your quote is an oxymoron.   You say to love and respect all people and then you advise others to hate and destroy all faith.   You can't love and respect someone you are seeking to destroy.

Of course you might be saying to love and respect all people by obliterating faith.  If that is the case, your statement is ludicrous at best.   By destroying faith you destroy all hope of eternal life for everyone and damn them to eternal suffering in a lake of fire.   You are no friend of

anyone - not even yourself!

________________________________________________________________________

Marilyn Manson (Singer) - “I think art is the only thing that's spiritual in the world. I refuse to be forced to believe in other people's interpretations of God.  I don't think anybody should be.  No one person can own the copyright to what God means.”

My response to Marilyn Manson - How far you have fallen from the faith!   I can't imagine what could have soured you so much that you have become the advocate of the devil out to destroy any chance of faith in those who attend your concerts.  You are not to be pitied because you

have known the truth and turned form it.

You were not forced into other people's interpretations of God unless you allowed it or you had an overbearing father or teacher or preacher trying to shove information on you, but even then you are a person with a free will who could have rejected that any time that you chose to.  In the end your judgment will be because of how you chose to respond to the teaching you received and what you have believed and acted on.

It is certain that no person owns a copyright on what God means, but it is equally certain that God has revealed himself through the Bible, and he will hold you responsible for the things you learned and what you did with them.  You can still return to him and repent of all the evil you have done against him while you still have life in you.   I strongly suggest that you get past your issues with those who offended you and begin dealing directly with God before you die.   He is long suffering and merciful and ready to help you if you come in humility and true repentance.

Nigella Lawson (Journalist and television personality) - “I was brought up an atheist and have always remained so.  But at no time was I led to believe that morality was unimportant or that good and bad did not exist.   I believe passionately in the need to distinguish between right and wrong and am somewhat confounded by being told I need God, Jesus or a clergyman to help me to do so.”

My response to Nigella Lawson - You seem to be confused.  A true atheist cannot hold moral values because in order to do so they would

have to claim a source for those values and that source would have to be outside of man; in other words, a God.  It is impossible to distinguish between right and wrong without a system of moral values that determine which is which.  Wouldn't you agree?  Human beings are evil by nature so they are incapable of establishing their actual needs beyond the basic needs of life such as food, clothing and shelter, and certainly not their spiritual needs.  Wouldn't you agree?

Mankind needs a guide to help them determine needs such as God, Jesus or Salvation.  You can learn about all three apart from a clergyman

and in some cases the clergyman you inquire to might know nothing about these three things anyway because they are illiterate when it comes

to the scriptures.  God gave us the Bible to meet those needs and to define what is right and wrong, good and/or evil.

Atheism tries to comprehend with finite intellect what can only be understood through the revelation that comes from God alone.  It is a fruitless and exasperating effort.   You say you are confounded and rightly so.  You are trusting in a system of belief that offers no hope beyond

this life and you are trapped in that system until you determine to break out of it or die in it.   If Christianity is true, and I am certain it is, you will not like what you find on the other side of death.  Do your research completely and you'll find wisdom that will remove any barrier to a relationship with the very real and caring God of the Bible.  Continue as you are and I hope you will live long enough to grasp spiritual truth before it is eternally too late for you.   You have this life to get it right. God is not the author of confusion!

Charlotte Perkins Gilman (Feminist-deceased) - “Let us inquire what glory there was in an omnipotent being torturing forever a puny little creature who could in no way defend himself?  Would it be to the glory of man to fry ants?”

My response to Charlotte Perkins Gilman - The Omnipotent being is not torturing the puny little creature.   He is giving them what they asked for.  He offered them forgiveness through the horrible sacrifice of his son who died for them and they chose his wrath over his love and mercy.

Since God is perfect the punishment is fitting whether we understand it now or not.  He sees sin as ugly and repulsive as it really is.  We don't understand the depth of sin as he does but we will on the day of judgment.   It would have been wise for you to stand with him instead of against him.  It is a great tragedy that you see it clearly now!   All through the vast ages of eternity you must live with regret.   I grieve for you!

________________________________________________________________________

Sam Harris (New Atheism Advocate) - “Either God can do nothing to stop catastrophes like this, or he doesn't care or he doesn't exist.  God is either impotent, evil, or imaginary.   Take your pick, and choose wisely.”

My response to Sam Harris  - You are offering your unfounded opinion on what you are entirely clueless about.  You, like so many others, are ignorant of the "free will" that God gave mankind as a sovereign act.   Free will was given so that men would choose to love and serve God rather than be made to do it.   Free will coupled with a sin nature has been instrumental in making these catastrophes happen and all the blame goes to wicked mankind in cooperation with Satan.

God cares very much about everything that affects his creation but he will not violate the free will of men.   He did not cease to be Omnipotent!

He is a perfect being and as such it is impossible for him to do evil which would take away his perfection, and he certainly is not imaginary as you surmise.  It is high time that you follow your own advice and be wise in your choice of what to believe about God.   He gave his son as a sacrifice in your place to erase your wickedness and rebellion and is willing to forgive you because you have acted in ignorance of who he is and what he is.  Get right with him now before you pass on into eternity and all opportunities to repent and be saved are lost to you forever. That would indeed be a catastrophe of great proportions!

________________________________________________________________________

Keira Knightley (Actress) - “It's absolutely extraordinary.   If only I wasn't an atheist, I could get away with anything.   You'd just ask for forgiveness and then you'd be forgiven.”

My response to Keira Knightley - You are very young and your statement betrays you as naive concerning eternal things and how sin is handled by God.   The Bible explicitly tells those who would serve God that they cannot continue to live in sin after salvation and get away with

it. There is a cutoff point when men harden their hearts against God and they no longer desire to repent.  Sadly many have gone that route.

Being a Christian doesn't give anyone a license to sin.   Paul the great Apostle asks, "Shall we continue in sin that grace might more abound?"   He then goes on to say; "God forbid!"

Before knowing Christ all mankind are slaves to sin.   Christ came to set us free.

Stephen Fry (Homosexual) - “There's a distinction to be drawn between those who claim to have access to revealed truth and therefore claim to know what happens to us after we're dead on the basis of a text, whether it's a Koran or a Holy Bible, which is nonsensical.

If they want to believe it then fine, but they mustn't push it down our throats and they mustn't tell me who I'm allowed to go to bed with and who I'm not allowed to go to bed with.  It's just not acceptable.   Anybody who wants to tell me what happens to me after I'm dead is either a liar or a fool because they DON'T. KNOW.”

My response to Stephen Fry - My instinctive reaction to your charges of liar or fool would be to spout off an answer to your charges, but the love of God would have me to speak with calm reasoning to you and bring my flesh under subjection.

There is a definite distinction between those who follow the teachings of the Bible and all who subscribe to the Koran.  Neither of them is nonsensical!   The prophet who is credited with the Koran is dead and will not rise again until the day of judgment.  His followers are following a god they call Allah.   Neither the prophet Muhammad or the Koran bear any resemblance to the Bible except for the acknowledgment of the Koran to the existence of Jesus as a lesser prophet of Allah and the virgin birth that is accredited to Mary. The salvation in the Koran is not guaranteed except to those who die in jihad or holy war.

The Bible God is called Elohim in the Hebrew language and Theos in the Greek and that God claims to be the only true and living God in the universe.  Unlike the Jesus of the Koran, the biblical Jesus is God incarnate (that is God come to earth in a human body).   The Jesus of Christianity is the third member of the Godhead and the Savior of all who put their faith and trust in him.  He is the only person in history to have a resurrection from the dead and ascension to Heaven.  Even the Muslims believe he ascended but not that he died on a cross and resurrected.  They are wrong about that.

I am glad you at least allow Christians and Muslims to believe as they wish.  If you didn't you would be classified as a bigot.  I understand why

you don't want to hear all that the Bible has to say because it calls your sexual activity an abomination and states that all sin that is not repented

of will lead to eternal damnation, and according to the Bible your sex life is called vile affections, unnatural and burning in lust.  Those are terms you would like to see erased forever from the scriptures, but God will not change his laws and commands to suit any man irrespective of who

that man may be.  If and when we come to God, all change must be on our part because he is perfect and cannot change.

As far as what will happen to you after you are dead is concerned; that is written in God's word, the Bible.   It is written plain so that anyone can understand what it is saying.   Every person who refuses to repent and trust Christ for forgiveness and salvation and continue in sin and dies in

sin will be damned forever in a lake of fire.   Revelation 20:11-15 tells the story of that final judgment and its meaning is very clear.  It won't be anyone else telling you what your eternal destiny but God himself when he pronounces one of two things to you.   If you got right with him

and lived to love and serve him and stopped sinning as much as you can with all sincerity he will say "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord."   If you live in rebellion against him and die in homosexuality and all other sin charged against you he will say to you; "Depart from me ye cursed into every lasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels."

The final decision is yours.   What price are you willing to pay for your soul?   Will you humbly bow and receive forgiveness from God or go on

in rebellion against him and seal your own final doom?  Nobody can make that choice for you.   I am one more person who has given you fair warning.   I pray that you will listen before it is eternally too late. None of us is promised another second let alone another year.   The time to get right with God is NOW!

______________________________________________________________________________

Yuval Noah Harari - "History began when humans invented gods, and will end when humans become gods."

My response to Yuval - Your words are abysmal ignorance since you have no way to prove your basis for "invented gods" other then your own grossly erroneous opinion. The second part of your statement is absolute nonsense. Men will never be gods as there is only ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD in the universe composed of three entities which excludes any other 'gods' imagined in the wicked hearts of mankind. The God of the Bible is the only God, and the three entities compose the "Godhead" as opposed to the Trinity which word is not found in all of scripture but inferred throughout. The Godhead is closed.

Mankind is wicked from the womb and none of mankind is fit to be a god. It is a foolish delusion to even consider that vile, unclean and sinful man could ever rise to the level of a pure, holy and perfect person who is infinite compared to the miserable finite and pathetic weakness that is the true condition of men. A virus can wipe out your future god (s) but nothing can take down the God of the universe who rules and reigns eternally in the Heavens and who is the "only uncreated being in existence." You need to find this out before you die. After death every option is off the table and you will face the God you deny in judgment, unprepared and lost forever. Jesus is the only hope for all of us.
